Post Acquisition Service Migration

For 15 years MobilSense has supported UScellular’s business clients with our MobilSentry reporting portal. Over the past 25 years we have been providing our portal to hundreds of clients supporting all major carriers including T-Mobile.  For all current UScellular clients, we will support you throughout your service migration period. You will be able to view, in a single familiar portal, all devices as they change from UScellular rate plans to T-Mobile while maintaining history and all cost account coding. Below are questions and answers related to this migration process.

What is required to include this additional migration support?

To load the new carrier invoices, we will need an LOA (Letter of Authorization) to retrieve monthly invoices and asset information. Once we have received the credentials, monthly invoice loads will happen automatically.

Will the new carrier data exhibit the same functionality as with UScellular invoices?

Yes, during the service migration all existing capabilities will be displayed for both carriers’ devices. This will include maintaining all historical information on UScellular devices.

How does MobilSentry differ from carrier portals?

MobilSentry is an IT Financial Management portal. All carrier portals provide some reporting and ordering capabilities. The difference is in the data integration and ease of use, particularly for financial functions. MobilSentry has automation to input and output company hierarchy and cost account information for each device/subscriber.  MobilSentry provides trending and graphical representations of the tabular data that is characteristic of carrier portal formats. Drilling down in a single click to individual user cost and usage information is also done in an intuitive manner.

What additional functionality is there in MobilSentry?

The full version of MobilSentry provides additional functionality including a multi-carrier online ordering and fulfillment capability, financial management of accounting functions, automated hierarchy updating, daily updates of devices status, IMEI, make/model and contract dates. It also supports custom-specific query outputs.

To include service migration support, do I need to inform MobilSense?

Yes, an LOA will need to be signed to grant access to MobilSense in order to upload the new T-Mobile invoices.  We will also will need to know of your interest in utilizing additional MobilSentry functionality at our special migration pricing.
